अध्याय १५ (Āśramavāsika-parva): धृतराष्ट्रस्य वनवासानुज्ञायाचनम् — Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s renewed plea for consent to forest-dwelling

इति सा निश्चितैवाशु वनवासाय भाविनी । लालप्यतां बहुविध॑ पुत्राणां नाकरोद्‌ वच:,शुद्ध हृदयवाली कुन्ती देवी वनमें रहनेका दृढ़ निश्चय कर चुकी थीं; अतः नाना प्रकारसे विलाप करते हुए अपने पुत्रोंका अनुरोध उन्होंने नहीं माना

iti sā niścitāivāśu vanavāsāya bhāvinī | lālapyatāṃ bahuvidhaṃ putrāṇāṃ nākarod vacaḥ ||

വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ ശുദ്ധഹൃദയയായ കുന്തീദേവി വനംവാസത്തിനായി വേഗത്തിൽ തന്നെ ദൃഢനിശ്ചയം ഉറപ്പിച്ചു; അതിനാൽ പുത്രന്മാർ പലവിധം വിലപിച്ചു അപേക്ഷിച്ചിട്ടും അവൾ അവരുടെ അപേക്ഷ അംഗീകരിച്ചില്ല.
