द्वादशोड् ध्याय: अर्जुनका भीमको समझाना और युधिष्ठिरका धृतराष्ट्रको यथेष्ट धन देनेकी स्वीकृति प्रदान करना अजुन उवाच भीम ज्येष्ठो गुरुमें त्वं नातो<न्यद्‌ वक्तुमुत्सहे । धृतराष्ट्रस्तु राजर्षि: सर्वथा मानमहति

arjuna uvāca | bhīma jyeṣṭho gurur me tvaṁ nāto 'nyad vaktum utsahe | dhṛtarāṣṭras tu rājarṣiḥ sarvathā mānam arhati ||

അർജുനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഭീമാ, നീ എന്റെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠ സഹോദരനും ഗുരുസമനുമാണ്; അതിനാൽ നിന്റെ മുമ്പിൽ ഇതിലുപരി മറ്റൊന്നും പറയാൻ എനിക്ക് ധൈര്യമില്ല—രാജർഷി ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ സർവ്വഥാ ആദരത്തിന് അർഹൻ.
