धृतराष्ट्री महाराजो वनवासाय दीक्षित: । गमिष्यति वन राजन्नागतां कार्तिकीमिमाम्‌

Transliteration

vaiśampāyana uvāca |

dhṛtarāṣṭrī mahārājo vanavāsāya dīkṣitaḥ |

gamiṣyati vana rājann āgatāṃ kārtikīm imām ||

Translation

‘രാജാവേ! മഹാരാജാവ് ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രൻ വനവാസത്തിനായി ദീക്ഷിതനായിരിക്കുന്നു. സമീപിച്ചിരിക്കുന്ന കാർത്തികി (പൗർണ്ണമി) വന്നാൽ അദ്ദേഹം വനത്തിലേക്ക് പുറപ്പെടും.’
