Educational Q&A

The verse foregrounds the ethical danger of krodha (anger) in speech: even within a righteous family, imbalance in praise and recognition can provoke resentment, and anger-driven words can disturb harmony and dharma.

Vaiśaṃpāyana narrates that Bhīma, becoming angry, begins to speak—setting up a response to the preceding context where Yudhiṣṭhira has been praising Arjuna repeatedly.
