दिवाकर! तुम दोपहरके समय आधे निमेषके लिये ठहर जाते हो! सूर्य! उसी समय तुम्हें स्थिर पाकर हम अपने बाणोंद्वारा तुम्हारे शरीरका भेदन कर डालेंगे। इस विषयमें मुझे कोई (अन्यथा) विचार नहीं करना है ।। सूर्य उवाच असंशयं मां विप्रषे भेत्स्यसे धन्विनां वर । अपकारिणं मां विद्धि भगवन्‌ शरणागतम्‌,सूर्य बोले-धनुर्धरोंमें श्रेष्ठ विप्र्षे! निस्संदेह आप मेरे शरीरका भेदन कर सकते हैं। भगवन्‌! यद्यपि मैं आपका अपराधी हूँ तो भी आप मुझे अपना शरणागत समझिये

സൂര്യൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ വിപ്രഷേ, ധനുർധരന്മാരിൽ ശ്രേഷ്ഠനേ! സംശയമില്ല, നീ എന്റെ ദേഹം ഭേദിക്കാം. ഭഗവൻ! ഞാൻ അപകാരിയായാലും, എന്നെ ശരണാഗതനായി അറിയുക.
