इत्युक्त: स महेन्द्रेण तपस्वी कोपनो भूशम्‌ । जग्राह पुष्करं धीमान्‌ प्रसन्नश्चाभवन्मुनि:

Transliteration

ity uktaḥ sa mahendreṇa tapasvī kopano bhūśam | jagrāha puṣkaraṃ dhīmān prasannaś cābhavan muniḥ ||

Translation

മഹേന്ദ്രൻ ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞപ്പോൾ, അത്യന്തം കോപശീലനായിരുന്ന ആ തപസ്വി പ്രസന്നനായി. ബുദ്ധിമാൻ മുനി അഗസ്ത്യൻ ഇന്ദ്രന്റെ കൈയിൽ നിന്ന് പുഷ്കരം (താമര) സ്വീകരിച്ചു.
