पर्वतने कहा--जो आपका कमल ले गया हो, वह गाँवका मुखिया हो जाय, गधेकी सवारीपर चले तथा पेट भरनेके लिये कुत्तोंकी साथ लेकर शिकार खेले ।। भरद्वाज उवाच सर्वपापसमादान नृशंसे चानृते च यत्‌ । तत्‌ तस्यास्तु सदा पाप॑ यस्ते हरति पुष्करम्‌,भरद्वाजने कहा--जिसने आपके कमलोंकी चोरी की हो, उस पापीको निर्दयी और असत्यवादी मनुष्योंमें रहनेवाला सारा-का-सारा पाप सदा ही प्राप्त होता रहे

bharadvāja uvāca | sarvapāpasamādānaṁ nṛśaṁse cānṛte ca yat | tat tasyāstu sadā pāpaṁ yas te harati puṣkaram ||

ഭരദ്വാജൻ പറഞ്ഞു—നിന്റെ താമര മോഷ്ടിച്ചവന്റെ മേൽ ക്രൂരന്മാരുടെയും അസത്യവാദികളുടെയും എല്ലാ പാപവും—പാപങ്ങളുടെ മുഴുവൻ ഭാരവും—എപ്പോഴും പതിക്കട്ടെ.
