दत्तात्रेयस्य पुत्रो5भून्िमि्नाम तपोधन: । निमेश्चाप्पभवत्‌ पुत्र: श्रीमान्नाम श्रिया वृत:

Dattātreyasya putro 'bhūn Nimir nāma tapodhanaḥ | Nimeś cāpy abhavat putraḥ Śrīmān nāma śriyā vṛtaḥ ||

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ദത്താത്രേയന് ‘നിമി’ എന്ന പുത്രൻ ഉണ്ടായി; അവൻ തപോധനൻ ആയിരുന്നു. നിമിക്കും ‘ശ്രീമാൻ’ എന്ന പുത്രൻ ജനിച്ചു; അവൻ ഐശ്വര്യവും ദീപ്തിയും ധരിച്ചവൻ ആയിരുന്നു.
