Pitṛ-śrāddha-haviḥ-phala-nirdeśa

Offerings for Ancestors and Their Stated Results

एवं सुवर्णमुत्पन्नममपत्यं जातवेदस: । तत्र जाम्बूनदं श्रेष्ठ देवानामपि भूषणम्‌,इस प्रकार अग्निसे संतानरूपमें सुवर्णकी उत्पत्ति हुई है। उसमें भी जाम्बूनद नामक सुवर्ण श्रेष्ठ है और वह देवताओंका भी भूषण है

evaṁ suvarṇam utpannam amapatyaṁ jātavedasaḥ | tatra jāmbūnadaṁ śreṣṭhaṁ devānām api bhūṣaṇam ||

ഇങ്ങനെ ജാതവേദസായ അഗ്നിയുടെ സന്താനമായി സ്വർണം ഉത്ഭവിച്ചു. സ്വർണങ്ങളിൽ ‘ജാംബൂനദം’ എന്നത് ശ്രേഷ്ഠം; അത് ദേവന്മാരുടെയും ഭൂഷണമാകുന്നു.
