Suvarṇa-dāna: Kārttikeya’s Origin and the Defeat of Tāraka (सुवर्णदान-प्रसङ्गे कार्त्तिकेय-उत्पत्ति तथा तारकवधः)
अत्राप्युदाहरन्तीममितिहासं पुरातनम् । पितामहस्य संवादमिन्द्रस्य च युधिष्ठिर,युधिष्ठिर! इस विषयमें विद्वान् पुरुष इन्द्र और ब्रह्माजीके इस प्राचीन इतिहासका उदाहरण दिया करते हैं
atrāpy udāharantīmam itihāsaṁ purātanam | pitāmahasya saṁvādam indrasya ca yudhiṣṭhira ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ യുധിഷ്ഠിരാ! ഈ വിഷയത്തിലും പണ്ഡിതർ ഒരു പുരാതന ഇതിഹാസം ഉദാഹരണമായി പറയുന്നു—പിതാമഹൻ (ബ്രഹ്മാവ്)യും ഇന്ദ്രനും തമ്മിലുള്ള സംവാദം.
