एकेनैव च भक्तेन य: क्रीत्वा गां प्रयच्छति । यावन्ति तस्या रोमाणि सम्भवन्ति शतक्रतो

Transliteration

ekenaiva ca bhaktena yaḥ krītvā gāṃ prayacchati | yāvanti tasyā romāṇi sambhavanti śatakrato ||

Translation

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ശതക്രതോ! ഒരാൾ ഒരേയൊരു ഹൃദയപൂർവമായ ഭക്തിയോടെ ഒരു പശുവിനെ വാങ്ങി ദാനം ചെയ്താൽ, ആ പശുവിന്റെ ശരീരത്തിൽ എത്ര രോമങ്ങളുണ്ടോ, അത്രയും ശുഭഫലങ്ങൾ അവനു ലഭിക്കുന്നു।
