भीष्म उवाच हन्त ते वर्तयिष्यामि यथावद् भरतर्षभ । गदतस्तन्ममाद्येह शृणु सत्यपराक्रम,भीष्मजी कहते हैं--सत्यपराक्रमी भरतश्रेष्ठ! मैं तुम्हें सब कुछ यथार्थ रूपसे बताऊँगा। तुम आज यहाँ मेरे मुँहसे इन सब बातोंको सुनो
bhīṣma uvāca: hanta te vartayiṣyāmi yathāvad bharatarṣabha | gadataḥ tan mamādyeha śṛṇu satyaparākrama ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ ഭരതവൃഷഭാ, സത്യപരാക്രമാ! വരിക; എല്ലാം യഥാവിധി ഞാൻ നിന്നോട് പറയും. ഇന്ന് ഇവിടെ, ഞാൻ പറയുന്നതു എന്റെ വായിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ കേൾക്കുക.
