नारद उवाच कृत्तिकासु महा भागे पायसेन ससर्पिषा । संतर्प्य ब्राह्मणान्‌ साधूँल्‍लोकानाप्रोत्यनुत्तमान्‌

nārada uvāca kṛttikāsu mahābhāge pāyasena sasarpīṣā | saṃtarpya brāhmaṇān sādhūn lokān āprāpya anuttamān ||

നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ മഹാഭാഗേ! കൃത്തികാ നക്ഷത്രത്തിൽ നെയ്യ് ചേർത്ത പായസം നൽകി സദ്ബ്രാഹ്മണരെ തൃപ്തിപ്പെടുത്തുക; അങ്ങനെ ചെയ്താൽ നീ അനുത്തമമായ ലോകങ്ങളെ പ്രാപിക്കും.
