सो5हमेतादृशाल्लॉकान् दृष्टवा भरतसत्तम | यन्मे कृतं ब्राह्मणेषु न तप्ये तेन पार्थिव,भरतश्रेष्ठ! पृथ्वीनाथ! ब्राह्मणोंके लिये मैंने जो कुछ किया है, उसके फलस्वरूप ऐसे पुण्यलोकोंका दर्शन करके मुझे संतोष हो गया है। अब मैं इस बातके लिये संतप्त नहीं हूँ कि दूसरा कोई पुण्य क्यों नहीं किया?
so ’ham etādṛśāl lokān dṛṣṭvā bharatasattama | yan me kṛtaṃ brāhmaṇeṣu na tapye tena pārthiva ||
ഭരതശ്രേഷ്ഠാ, ഭൂനാഥാ! ബ്രാഹ്മണർക്കായി ഞാൻ ചെയ്തതിന്റെ ഫലമായി ഇത്തരത്തിലുള്ള പുണ്യലോകങ്ങൾ ദർശിച്ച് ഞാൻ തൃപ്തനായി. അതുകൊണ്ട്, രാജാവേ, ‘മറ്റൊരു പുണ്യം എന്തുകൊണ്ട് ചെയ്തില്ല?’ എന്നു ചിന്തിച്ച് ഞാൻ ദുഃഖിക്കുന്നില്ല; പശ്ചാത്താപത്തിൽ കത്തുന്നുമില്ല.
