Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)

गावो लक्ष्म्या: सदा मूलं गोषु पाप्मा न विद्यते । अन्नमेव सदा गावो देवानां परमं हवि:

gāvo lakṣmyāḥ sadā mūlaṃ goṣu pāpmā na vidyate | annam eva sadā gāvo devānāṃ paramaṃ haviḥ ||

ച്യവൻ പറഞ്ഞു—പശുക്കൾ സദാ ലക്ഷ്മിയുടെ മൂലമാണ്; പശുക്കളിൽ പാപത്തിന്റെ ലേശവും ഇല്ല. മനുഷ്യർക്കു നിരന്തരം അന്നം നൽകുന്നതും, ദേവന്മാർക്കു പരമ ഹവിസ്സായ യജ്ഞാർപ്പണമാകുന്നതും പശുക്കളുതന്നെ।
