Cyavana’s Yogic Display and Kuśika’s Recognition of Tapas (च्यवन-योगप्रभावः कुशिकस्य तपःप्रशंसा च)
भीष्म उवाच महर्षेरवचनं श्रुत्वा नहुषो दुःखकर्शित: । स चिन्तयामास तदा सहामात्यपुरोहित:
bhīṣma uvāca mahārṣer vacanaṃ śrutvā nahuṣo duḥkhakarśitaḥ | sa cintayāmāsa tadā sahāmātya-purohitaḥ ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—മഹർഷിയുടെ വചനം കേട്ടപ്പോൾ ദുഃഖംകൊണ്ട് ക്ഷീണിച്ച നഹുഷരാജാവ് അത്യന്തം വ്യാകുലനായി. തുടർന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം മന്ത്രിമാരെയും കുടുംബപുരോഹിതനെയും കൂട്ടി ഇനി എന്ത് ചെയ്യണമെന്ന് ആലോചിച്ചു തുടങ്ങി.
