Putra-Bheda: Kṣetraja, Kṛtaka, Apasada, and Saṃskāra Determinations (पुत्रभेद-निर्णयः)
यदि वै स्त्री न रोचेत पुमांसं न प्रमोदयेत् । अप्रमोदात् पुन: पुंस: प्रजनो न प्रवर्धते
yadi vai strī na roceta pumāṁsaṁ na pramodayet | apramodāt punaḥ puṁsaḥ prajano na pravardhate ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—സ്ത്രീക്ക് പുരുഷൻ ഇഷ്ടമാകാതെ അവനെ സന്തോഷിപ്പിക്കാതിരുന്നാൽ, ആ പരസ്പരാനന്ദത്തിന്റെ അഭാവം മൂലം പുരുഷന്റെ സന്തതി വർധിക്കുകയില്ല.
