Strī-satkāra (On honoring women) — Mahābhārata 13.46
ब्रह्मन! तुमने मुझसे अपना वह कर्म नहीं बताया जो व्यभिचार-दोषके कारण भयरूप था। वे जानते थे, इसलिये उन्होंने तुम्हें बता दिया
Brahman! tvaṁ mayā svaṁ tad karma na kathitaṁ yad vyabhicāra-doṣa-kāraṇād bhaya-rūpaṁ āsīt. te jānanti sma, tasmāt te tvāṁ tat kathitavantaḥ.
വിഫുലൻ പറഞ്ഞു— “ഹേ ബ്രാഹ്മണാ! വ്യഭിചാരദോഷം കലർന്നതിനാൽ ഭയകാരണമാകുന്ന നിന്റെ ആ കൃത്യം നീ എന്നോട് പറഞ്ഞില്ല. അവർ അത് അറിഞ്ഞിരുന്നു; അതുകൊണ്ടാണ് അവർ നിന്നോട് അത് വെളിപ്പെടുത്തിയത്.”
