अपर त्रिचत्वारिशो<् ध्याय: देवशर्माका विपुलको निर्दोष बताकर समझाना और भीष्मका युधिष्ठिरको स्त्रियोंकी रक्षाके लिये आदेश देना भीष्म उवाच तमागतमभिप्रेक्ष्य शिष्यं वाक्यमथाब्रवीत् | देवशर्मा महातेजा यत् तत् शृूणु जनाधिप
bhīṣma uvāca | tam āgatam abhiprekṣya śiṣyaṃ vākyam athābravīt | devaśarmā mahātejā yat tat śṛṇu janādhipa ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ നരേശ്വരാ! ശിഷ്യൻ വിപുലൻ വന്നെത്തിയതു കണ്ട മഹാതേജസ്സുള്ള ദേവശർമൻ പിന്നെ ഈ വാക്കുകൾ പറഞ്ഞു. ഹേ ജനാധിപാ, അവൻ പറഞ്ഞതു കേൾക്കുക.
