Chapter 34

तस्मात्‌ त्वमपि कौन्तेय पितृदेवद्धिजातिथीन्‌ । सम्यक्‌ पूजयसे नित्यं गतिमिष्टामवाप्स्यसि,अतः कुन्तीनन्दन! यदि तुम भी सदा देवताओं, पितरों, ब्राह्मणों और अतिथियोंका भलीभाँति पूजन एवं सत्कार करते रहोगे तो अभीष्ट गति प्राप्त कर लोगे

tasmāt tvam api kaunteya pitṛdevadvijātithīn | samyak pūjayase nityaṃ gatim iṣṭām avāpsyasi ||

അതുകൊണ്ട്, ഹേ കുന്തീപുത്രാ! നീയും നിത്യവും ദേവന്മാരെയും പിതൃകളെയും ദ്വിജന്മാരെയും (ബ്രാഹ്മണന്മാരെയും) അതിഥികളെയും യഥാവിധി പൂജിച്ച് സത്കരിച്ചാൽ, അഭീഷ്ടഗതി പ്രാപിക്കും.
