Educational Q&A

The verse uses Indra as a benchmark for excellence, implying that noble lineage is ideally marked by visible excellence—radiance, dignity, and admirable presence—reflecting inner merit and the standards expected of exemplary persons.

Bhishma continues a genealogical or character description, introducing the son named Gṛtsamāda and praising his appearance by comparing him to Indra, thereby elevating his stature within the account.
