ब्राह्मणपूजा-राजधर्मः | Royal Duty of Honoring Learned Brahmins
तमुवाच भरद्वाजो ज्येष्ठ: पुत्रो बृहस्पते: । पुरोधा: शीलसम्पन्नो दिवोदासं महीपतिम्,बृहस्पतिके ज्येष्ठ पुत्र भरद्वाजजी बड़े शीलवान् और दिवोदासके पुरोहित थे। उन्होंने राजाको उपस्थित देखकर पूछा--“नरेश्वर! तुम्हें यहाँ आनेकी क्या आवश्यकता पड़ी? मुझे अपना सब समाचार बता दो। तुम्हारा जो भी प्रिय कार्य होगा उसे मैं करूँगा। इसके लिये मेरे मनमें कोई अन्यथा विचार नहीं होगा”
tam uvāca bharadvājo jyeṣṭhaḥ putro bṛhaspateḥ | purodhāḥ śīlasampanno divodāsaṃ mahīpatim |
ബൃഹസ്പതിയുടെ ജ്യേഷ്ഠപുത്രനും ശീലസമ്പന്നനും ദിവോദാസന്റെ പുരോഹിതനുമായ ഭരദ്വാജൻ രാജാവിനെ കണ്ടു പറഞ്ഞു—“നരേശ്വരാ! എന്തു കാരണത്താൽ ഇവിടെ വന്നിരിക്കുന്നു? നിന്റെ സമസ്ത വൃത്താന്തവും എനിക്കു പറയുക; നിന്റെ ഹിതത്തിനായി നിനക്കു പ്രിയമായ കാര്യമെന്തായാലും ഞാൻ നിഷ്കപടമായി അത് ചെയ്യും।”
