Pūjya-namaskārya-prakaraṇa
On Those Worthy of Honor and Salutation
ब्राह्मणं यदि दुष्प्रापं त्रिभिर्वर्ण: शतक्रतो
brāhmaṇaṁ yadi duṣprāpaṁ tribhir varṇaḥ śatakrato
മാതംഗൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ഹേ ശതക്രതു (ഇന്ദ്രാ), മൂന്നു വർണങ്ങളിലുമൊരു യഥാർത്ഥ ബ്രാഹ്മണൻ ദുർലഭനാണെങ്കിൽ, ബ്രാഹ്മണത്വം ജന്മത്തിന്റെ പേരുമാത്രമല്ല; ആചാരവും അന്തർഗുണവും ആധാരമായ ദുർലഭസിദ്ധിയാണെന്ന് അറിയണം.”
