Mataṅga–Śakra Dialogue on Tapas, Status, and Moral Qualities
भूस्थै: स्वःस्थैर्दिविष्ठै क्ष भूतिरुच्चावचैरपि । गड्जा विगाह्मया सततमेतत् कार्यतमं सताम्,पृथ्वी, आकाश तथा स्वर्गमें रहनेवाले छोटे-बड़े सभी प्राणियोंको चाहिये कि वे निरन्तर गंगाजीमें स्नान करें। यही सत्पुरुषोंका सबसे उत्तम कार्य है
bhūsthaiḥ svaḥsthair diviṣṭhaiś ca bhūtīr uccāvacair api | gaṅgāyāṃ vigāhya satatam etat kāryatamaṃ satām ||
ഭൂമിയിലും ആകാശത്തിലും സ്വർഗ്ഗലോകത്തിലും വസിക്കുന്ന ഉയർന്നവരും താഴ്ന്നവരുമായ എല്ലാ ജീവികളും നിരന്തരം ഗംഗയിൽ അവഗാഹനം ചെയ്യണം; ഇതാണ് സത്പുരുഷന്മാരുടെ ഏറ്റവും ഉത്തമമായ കര്മ്മം.
