अजड्रिय उवाच
The verse teaches that reverent contact with a sacred tīrtha—especially bathing at a Śiva-associated holy locus where the Gaṅgā flows northward—supports purification and strengthens dharmic living; outer ritual is presented as a means toward inner cleansing and ethical steadiness.
Ajadriya describes a specific sacred geography: a place where the Bhāgīrathī (Gaṅgā) turns/flows northward and where Maheśvara’s ‘tristhāna’ is located. He states the merit of being ritually bathed (abhiṣeka/ablution) there, as part of a broader discourse on tīrthas and religious duties.
