Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters
वेदविक्रयिणश्रैव वेदानां चैव दूषका: । वेदानां लेखकाश्रैव ते वै निरयगामिन:,जो वेद बेचते हैं, वेदोंकी निन्दा करते हैं और विक्रयके लिये ही वेदोंके मन्त्र लिखते हैं, वे भी निश्चय ही नरकगामी होते हैं
bhīṣma uvāca | vedavikrayiṇaś caiva vedānāṃ caiva dūṣakāḥ | vedānāṃ lekhakāś caiva te vai nirayagāminaḥ ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—വേദം വിൽക്കുന്നവരും, വേദങ്ങളെ നിന്ദിച്ച് ദൂഷിക്കുന്നവരും, വ്യാപാരലാഭത്തിനായി മാത്രം വേദമന്ത്രങ്ങൾ എഴുതുന്നവരും—നിശ്ചയമായും നരകഗാമികൾ।
