Tīrtha-vaṃśa Upadeśa: Instruction on the Fruits of Sacred Waters

भीष्म उवाच येषां दारा: प्रतीक्षन्ते सुवृष्टिमिव कर्षका: । उच्छेषपरिशेषं हि तान्‌ भोजय युधिष्ठिर

bhīṣma uvāca yeṣāṃ dārāḥ pratīkṣante suvṛṣṭim iva karṣakāḥ | ucchiṣṭa-pariśeṣaṃ hi tān bhojaya yudhiṣṭhira ||

ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—യുധിഷ്ഠിരാ! കർഷകൻ സുവൃഷ്ടിയെ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്നതുപോലെ, ഭർത്താവ് കഴിച്ചശേഷം ശേഷിക്കുന്ന അന്നത്തിനായി ഭാര്യമാർ കാത്തിരിക്കുന്ന വീടുകൾ—അഥവാ ദിവസത്തെ പാചകത്തിനപ്പുറം ഒന്നും സംഭരിച്ചിട്ടില്ലാത്തവർ—അത്തരം ദരിദ്ര ബ്രാഹ്മണരെ നീ നിർബന്ധമായി ഭോജനിപ്പിക്കണം।
