Aṣṭāvakra and the Woman: Disclosure, Permission, and Marital Resolution (अनुशासन पर्व, अध्याय २२)
अद्टावक्र उवाच हरन्ति दोषजातानि नरं जात॑ यथेच्छकम् | प्रभवामि सदा धृत्या भद्रे स्वशयनं व्रज
aṣṭāvakra uvāca | haranti doṣajātāni naraṃ jātaṃ yathecchakam | prabhavāmi sadā dhṛtyā bhadre svaśayanaṃ vraja |
അഷ്ടാവക്രൻ പറഞ്ഞു— ഭദ്രേ! ഇഷ്ടപ്രകാരം ജീവിക്കുന്ന മനുഷ്യനെയാണു ദോഷങ്ങളുടെയും പാപങ്ങളുടെയും കൂട്ടം പിടിച്ചിഴയ്ക്കുന്നത്. ഞാൻ ധൈര്യവും ആത്മസംയമവുംകൊണ്ട് എപ്പോഴും എന്നെ നിയന്ത്രിക്കുന്നു; അതിനാൽ നീ നിന്റെ ശയ്യയിലേക്കു മടങ്ങുക.
