Aṣṭāvakra’s Visit to Kubera: Hospitality, Temptation, and the Ethics of Restraint (अष्टावक्र-वैश्रवणोपाख्यानम्)
इति मत्वा हृदि मतं प्राह मां सुरसत्तम: । मयि सम्भावना यास्या: फलात्कृष्णो भविष्यति
iti matvā hṛdi mataṁ prāha māṁ surasattamaḥ | mayi sambhāvanā yāsyāḥ phalāt kṛṣṇo bhaviṣyati ||
എന്റെ ഹൃദയത്തിൽ ഉറച്ച ആ ആഗ്രഹം അറിഞ്ഞ ദേവശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ (ശിവൻ) എന്നോടു പറഞ്ഞു—“മുനേ! എന്നോടുള്ള നിന്റെ ഭക്തിഭാവവും വരപ്രാർത്ഥനയും ഫലമായി നിനക്ക് ‘കൃഷ്ണൻ’ എന്ന പേരുള്ള പുത്രൻ ജനിക്കും.”
