ततो<सस्‍्य विधिवच्चक्रुः पितृमेधं महात्मन:

Transliteration

tato 'sya vidhivac cakruḥ pitṛmedhaṃ mahātmanaḥ | apasavyam akurvanta dhṛtarāṣṭramukhāśritāḥ ||

Translation

അതിനുശേഷം പാണ്ഡവർ മഹാത്മാവായ ഭീഷ്മന്റെ പിതൃമേധകർമ്മം വിധിപൂർവ്വം നിർവഹിച്ചു. ധൃതരാഷ്ട്രാദികളുടെ നേതൃത്വത്തിൽ ശാസ്ത്രവിധിപ്രകാരം—അന്ത്യേഷ്ടിക്ക് യോജിച്ച അപസവ്യ പ്രദക്ഷിണ ഉൾപ്പെടെ—എല്ലാ ആചാരങ്ങളും നടന്നു।
