पौरजानपदैश्वैव मन्त्रिवृद्धैश्व पार्थिव । प्रविवेश कुरुश्रेष्ठ: पुरं वारणसाह्वयम्
vaiśampāyana uvāca |
paurajānapadaiś caiva mantrivṛddhaiś ca pārthiva |
praviveśa kuruśreṣṭhaḥ puraṃ vāraṇasāhvayam ||
വൈശമ്പായനൻ പറഞ്ഞു—രാജാവേ! കുരുശ്രേഷ്ഠൻ പൗരന്മാരോടും ജനപദവാസികളോടും മുതിർന്ന മന്ത്രിമാരോടും കൂടി വാരണസാഹ്വയ എന്ന നഗരത്തിൽ (ഹസ്തിനാപുരത്തിൽ) പ്രവേശിച്ചു।
