देवा देवर्षयश्लैव स्तुता राजर्षयस्तथा । पुष्टिमायुर्यश: स्वर्ग विधास्यन्ति ममेश्वरा:
devā devarṣayaś caiva stutā rājarṣayas tathā | puṣṭim āyur yaśaḥ svargaṁ vidhāsyanti mameśvarāḥ ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ദേവന്മാരെയും ദേവർഷിമാരെയും രാജർഷിമാരെയും സ്തുതിച്ചാൽ, ഈശ്വരസ്വരൂപരായ അവർ എനിക്ക് പുഷ്ടി, ദീർഘായുസ്സ്, യശസ്സ്, സ്വർഗ്ഗപ്രാപ്തി എന്നിവ നല്കും.”
