godāvarī ca veṇyā ca kṛṣṇaveṇā tathādrijā | dṛṣadvatī ca kāverī cakṣur mandākinī tathā ||

ഗോദാവരി, വേണ്യാ, കൃഷ്ണവേണാ, അദ്രിജാ, ദൃഷദ്വതി, കാവേരി, ചക്ഷു, മന്ദാകിനി—ഈ പുണ്യനദികളെ ഞാൻ സ്മരിക്കുന്നു.
