नक्षत्राण्यृतवश्चैव मासा: पक्षा: सवत्सरा: | वैनतेया: समुद्राश्च॒ कद्रुजा: पन्नगास्तथा
nakṣatrāṇy ṛtavaś caiva māsāḥ pakṣāḥ savatsarāḥ | vainateyāḥ samudrāś ca kadrujāḥ pannagās tathā ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“നക്ഷത്രങ്ങളും ഋതുക്കളും; മാസങ്ങളും പക്ഷങ്ങളും, സംവത്സരചക്രവും; വിനതാപുത്രനായ ഗരുഡനും സമുദ്രങ്ങളും; കദ്രൂജനിത പന്നഗങ്ങളും—ഇവയെല്ലാം ഞങ്ങളെ ധരിച്ചു കാത്തുകൊള്ളട്ടെ.”
