शक्तितश्नरितं वक्ष्ये प्रसादात्‌ तस्य धीमत: । अप्राप्य तु ततो<नुज्ञां न शक्‍्यः स्तोतुमी श्वरः

Transliteration

śaktitaḥ saṅkṣiptaṁ vakṣye prasādāt tasya dhīmataḥ | aprāpya tu tato 'nujñāṁ na śakyaḥ stotum īśvaraḥ ||

Translation

എന്റെ പരിമിത ശേഷിയനുസരിച്ച്, ആ ധീമാനായ മഹാദേവന്റെ കൃപയാൽ മാത്രം ഞാൻ സംക്ഷിപ്തമായി അവന്റെ ചരിതവും സ്തോത്രവും വിവരിക്കും. എന്നാൽ അവന്റെ അനുവാദം ലഭിക്കാതെ ആ പരമേശ്വരനെ സ്തുതിക്കാൻ കഴിയില്ല.
