Educational Q&A

Steady observance of dharma, grounded in truthfulness (satya) and straightforward sincerity (ārjava), leads to auspicious results—here expressed as the enjoyment of heaven.

In Bhīṣma’s instruction to the king (Yudhiṣṭhira) in the Anuśāsana Parva, he summarizes a moral principle: those who consistently live by dharma with truthful and simple conduct attain heavenly reward.
