यदा धर्मों ग्लाति वंशे सुराणां तदा कृष्णो जायते मानुषेषु । धर्मे स्थित्वा स तु वै भावितात्मा परांक्ष लोकानपरांश्ष पाति
yadā dharmo glāti vaṁśe surāṇāṁ tadā kṛṣṇo jāyate mānuṣeṣu | dharme sthitvā sa tu vai bhāvitātmā parāṁś ca lokān aparāṁś ca pāti ||
ദേവവംശങ്ങളിൽ ധർമ്മം ക്ഷയിക്കുമ്പോൾ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ മനുഷ്യരിൽ ജനിക്കുന്നു. ധർമ്മത്തിൽ ഉറച്ചുനിന്ന്, ശുദ്ധവും സംസ്കൃതവുമായ അന്തഃകരണത്തോടെ അദ്ദേഹം സ്വയം ധർമ്മം ആചരിച്ച് അതിനെ പുനഃസ്ഥാപിക്കുകയും പരവും അപരവും ആയ ലോകങ്ങളെ സംരക്ഷിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നു.
