अश्रिभ्यां सह सोमं च पिबाम विगतज्वरा: । फिर तो मदके मुखमें पड़े हुए देवताओंने आपसमें सलाह करके इन्द्रसे कहा --'देवराज! आप विप्रवर च्यवनको प्रणाम कीजिये (इनसे विरोध करना अच्छा नहीं है)। हमलोग निश्रिन्त होकर अश्विनीकुमारोंके साथ सोमपान करेंगे”
aśribhyāṁ saha somaṁ ca pibāma vigatajvarāḥ |
ച്യവൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“അശ്വിനീകുമാരന്മാരോടൊപ്പം നാം സോമപാനം ചെയ്യാം; എല്ലാ ജ്വരതാപങ്ങളിൽ നിന്നും വിമുക്തരാകാം.” അപ്പോൾ ആശങ്കപ്പെട്ട ദേവന്മാർ പരസ്പരം ആലോചിച്ച് ഇന്ദ്രനോട് പറഞ്ഞു—“ദേവരാജാ! വിപ്രവരനായ ച്യവനനെ പ്രണമിക്കൂ; അദ്ദേഹത്തോടുള്ള വിരോധം ശ്രേയസ്കരമല്ല. അപ്പോൾ ഞങ്ങൾ നിശ്ചിന്തയായി അശ്വിനീകുമാരന്മാരോടൊപ്പം സോമപാനം ചെയ്യും.”
