तां त्वकामयत श्रीमान् वरुण: पूर्वमेव ह । स चागम्य वनप्रस्थं यमुनायां जहार ताम्
Transliteration
tāṁ tv akāmayata śrīmān varuṇaḥ pūrvam eva ha | sa cāgamya vanaprasthaṁ yamunāyāṁ jahāra tām ||
Translation
ശ്രീമാൻ വരുണദേവൻ ആ കന്യയെ ആദ്യംമുതലേ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചിരുന്നു. വനവാസിയായ മുനിയുടെ ആശ്രമസമീപത്ത് എത്തി, യമുനയിൽ സ്നാനം ചെയ്യുമ്പോൾ അവളെ അപഹരിച്ച് കൊണ്ടുപോയി.
