सनातनो वै मधुहा गोविन्द इति विश्रुत: । स सर्वान्‌ पार्थिवान्‌ संख्ये घातयिष्यति मानद:,वे ही सनातन, मधुसूदन और गोविन्द आदि नामोंसे प्रसिद्ध हैं। सज्जनोंको आदर देनेवाले वे भगवान्‌ श्रीकृष्ण महाभारत-युद्धमें समस्त राजाओंका संहार करायेंगे

sanātano vai madhuhā govinda iti viśrutaḥ | sa sarvān pārthivān saṅkhye ghātayiṣyati mānadaḥ ||

അവൻ സനാതനൻ; ‘മധുഹാ’ (മധുവധകൻ), ‘ഗോവിന്ദൻ’ എന്ന നാമങ്ങളാൽ പ്രസിദ്ധൻ. സജ്ജനർക്കു മാനമരുളുന്ന ആ ഭഗവാൻ ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ യുദ്ധത്തിൽ എല്ലാ രാജാക്കളുടെയും നാശം വരുത്തും.
