Educational Q&A

The Lord is eternally worthy of worship—even for the gods—and sincere, exclusive devotion to him yields a corresponding attainment of fearlessness (abhaya), i.e., inner security and spiritual assurance proportionate to one’s devotion.

Īśvara speaks, declaring his timeless supremacy and universal worship, and then states the fruit of steadfast devotion: his faithful followers attain a fearless state in accordance with their devotional practice.
