Adhyāya 152 — Bhīṣma’s Authorization for Yudhiṣṭhira’s Return to the Capital (नगरप्रवेशानुज्ञा)

(दाक्षिणात्य अधिक पाठके १२०९ श्लोक मिलाकर कुल १२७३ श्लोक हैं) ऑपन--माजल बछ। अकाल षट्चत्वारिंशदधिकशततमो<ध्याय: पार्वतीजीके द्वारा स्त्री-धर्मका वर्णन नारद उवाच एवमुक्त्वा महादेव: श्रोतुकाम: स्वयं प्रभु: । अनुकूलां प्रियां भार्या पारश्वस्थां समभाषत,नारदजी कहते हैं--ऐसा कहकर महादेवजी स्वयं भी पार्वतीजीके मुँहसे कुछ सुननेकी इच्छा करने लगे। अतएव स्वयं भगवान्‌ शिवने पास ही बैठी हुई अपनी प्रिय एवं अनुकूल भार्या पार्वतीसे कहा

nārada uvāca | evam uktvā mahādevaḥ śrotukāmaḥ svayaṃ prabhuḥ | anukūlāṃ priyāṃ bhāryāṃ pārśvasthāṃ samabhāṣata ||

നാരദൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഇങ്ങനെ പറഞ്ഞ ശേഷം, സ്വയം പ്രഭുവായ മഹാദേവൻ പോലും കേൾക്കാൻ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു. അതിനാൽ സമീപത്ത് ഇരുന്ന തന്റെ പ്രിയയും അനുകൂലയും ആയ ഭാര്യ പാർവതിയോട് അദ്ദേഹം സംസാരിച്ചു.
