कालयुक्तधर्मविवेकः

Discerning Dharma in Accord with Time

वृत्त्यर्थ धर्महेतोर्वा सेवितव्य: सदा नरै: ।। स्वर्गवासमभीप्सद्/िर्न सेव्यस्त्वत उत्तर:

vṛttyarthaṃ dharmahetor vā sevitavyaḥ sadā naraiḥ | svargavāsam abhīpsadbhir na sevyas tv ata uttaraḥ ||

ശ്രീ മഹേശ്വരൻ പറഞ്ഞു—“ജീവികയ്ക്കായാലും ധർമ്മത്തിനായാലും മനുഷ്യർ എപ്പോഴും സേവനം സ്വീകരിക്കണം. എന്നാൽ സ്വർഗ്ഗവാസം ആഗ്രഹിക്കുന്നവർ ‘ഉത്തര’ (അഥവാ നൈതികമായി താഴ്ന്ന/ആത്മോന്നതിക്ക് തടസ്സമായ) തരത്തിലുള്ള സേവനം സ്വീകരിക്കരുത്.”
