धर्मनिन्दा–धर्मोपासनाफलम् तथा साध्वाचारलक्षणम्

देवि! इन्हीं शुभ कर्मों और आचरणोंसे शूद्र ब्राह्मणत्वको प्राप्त होता है और वैश्य क्षत्रियत्वको ।। शूद्रकर्माणि सर्वाणि यथान्यायं यथाविधि । शुश्रूषां परिचर्या च ज्येछ्ठे वर्णे प्रयत्नत:

Devi! imaiḥ śubha-karmabhiḥ ācāraṇaiś ca śūdro brāhmaṇatvaṁ prāpnoti vaiśyaś ca kṣatriyatvam. śūdra-karmāṇi sarvāṇi yathā-nyāyaṁ yathā-vidhi; śuśrūṣāṁ paricaryāṁ ca jyeṣṭhe varṇe prayatnataḥ.

മഹേശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—“ദേവീ! ഈ ശുഭകർമ്മങ്ങളും നിയന്ത്രിതമായ ആചാരവും കൊണ്ടാണ് ശൂദ്രൻ ബ്രാഹ്മണസ്ഥാനവും വൈശ്യൻ ക്ഷത്രിയസ്ഥാനവും പ്രാപിക്കുന്നത്. ശൂദ്രൻ തന്റെ എല്ലാ കര്‍ത്തവ്യങ്ങളും നീതിയനുസരിച്ച്, വിധിപ്രകാരം നിർവഹിക്കണം; പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് ജ്യേഷ്ഠ (ഉന്നത) വർണ്ണത്തോടുള്ള ശുശ്രൂഷയും പരിചര്യയും പരിശ്രമത്തോടെ ചെയ്യണം.”
