धर्मनिन्दा–धर्मोपासनाफलम् तथा साध्वाचारलक्षणम्

उग्रान्नं गर्हितं देवि गणान्न॑ श्राद्धसूतकम्‌ । दुष्टान्न नैव भोक्तव्यं शूद्रान्नं नैव कर्हिचित्‌,देवि! उग्रस्वभावके मनुष्यका अन्न निन्दित माना गया है। किसी समुदायका, श्राद्धका, जननाशौचका, दुष्ट पुरुषका और शूद्रका अन्न भी निषिद्ध है--उसे कभी नहीं खाना चाहिये

ugrānnaṁ garhitaṁ devi gaṇānnaṁ śrāddha-sūtakam | duṣṭānnaṁ naiva bhoktavyaṁ śūdrānnaṁ naiva karhicit ||

ദേവി! ഉഗ്രസ്വഭാവമുള്ളവന്റെ അന്നം നിന്ദ്യമാണ്. ഏതെങ്കിലും കൂട്ടത്തിന്റെ അശൗചവുമായി ബന്ധപ്പെട്ട അന്നം, ശ്രാദ്ധത്തിലെ അന്നം, ജനനാശൗചത്തിലെ അന്നം, ദുഷ്ടന്റെ അന്നം—ശൂദ്രന്റെ അന്നവും—ഒരിക്കലും ഭുജിക്കരുത്.
