आज्यधूमोद्धवो गन्धो रुणद्धीव तपोवनम् । तं॑ दृष्टवा मे मनः प्रीतं महेश्वर सदा भवेत्
ājyadhūmodbhavo gandho ruṇaddhīva tapovanam | taṁ dṛṣṭvā me manaḥ prītaṁ maheśvara sadā bhavet ||
മഹേശ്വരാ! ഋഷിമാർ അഗ്നിയിൽ നെയ്യാഹുതി അർപ്പിക്കുമ്പോൾ, അതിന്റെ പുകയിൽ നിന്നുയരുന്ന സുഗന്ധം മുഴുവൻ തപോവനത്തെയും മൂടുന്നതുപോലെ തോന്നുന്നു. അത് കണ്ടാൽ എന്റെ മനസ്സ് നിത്യവും ആനന്ദിക്കുന്നു—മഹേശ്വരൻ സദാ പ്രസന്നനായിരിക്കട്ടെ.
