अग्निहोत्रपरिस्पन्दो धर्मरात्रिसमासनम् | सोमयज्ञाभ्यनुज्ञानं पञज्चमी यज्ञदक्षिणा
agnihotra-parispando dharma-rātri-samāsanam | soma-yajñābhyanujñānaṁ pañcamī yajña-dakṣiṇā ||
ശ്രീ മഹേശ്വരൻ അരുളിച്ചെയ്തു—അഗ്നിഹോത്രം യഥാവിധി നിർവഹിക്കൽ, ധർമ്മസത്രത്തിൽ (ധർമ്മരാത്രിയിൽ) സ്ഥിരമായി നിലകൊള്ളൽ, സോമയജ്ഞത്തിന് അനുമതി നൽകി അതു അനുഷ്ഠിക്കൽ, യജ്ഞവിധിയുടെ ജ്ഞാനം, യജ്ഞദക്ഷിണ നൽകൽ—ഈ അഞ്ചു കർമ്മങ്ങളും അനിവാര്യമെന്നു വിധിക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു।
