ब्राह्मणपूजायां व्युष्टिः — Vyuṣṭi (Merit-Outcome) of Honoring Brāhmaṇas: Kṛṣṇa and Durvāsā
यश्न गोवृषभाड्कस्य प्रभावस्तं च मे शृणु । रुद्राण्या: संशयो यश्व दम्पत्योस्तं च मे शृणु,भीष्मजी बोले--बेटा! अब मैं तुम्हें एक अत्यन्त मनोहर कथा सुना रहा हूँ। राजन! पूर्वकालमें इन भगवान् नारायण और महादेवजीका जो प्रभाव मैंने सुन रखा है, उसको तथा पार्वतीजीके संदेह करनेपर शिव और पार्वतीमें जो संवाद हुआ था, उसको भी बता रहा हूँ, सुनो
yad go-vṛṣabhāṅkasya prabhāvas taṁ ca me śṛṇu | rudrāṇyāḥ saṁśayo yad vai dampatyos taṁ ca me śṛṇu ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഗോവൃഷഭചിഹ്നധാരിയായ പ്രഭുവിന്റെ മഹിമ കേൾക്കുക; രുദ്രാണി (പാർവതി)യിൽ ഉദിച്ച സംശയവും, തുടർന്ന് ദിവ്യ ദമ്പതികളായ ശിവ–പാർവതിമാർ തമ്മിൽ നടന്ന സംവാദവും കേൾക്കുക. പുരാതനകാലം മുതൽ നാരായണനും മഹാദേവനും സംബന്ധിച്ച മഹത്വവും അവരുടെ ശക്തിപ്രഭാവവും ഞാൻ കേട്ടതുപോലെ നിനക്കു വിവരിക്കുന്നു.
