Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
अर्थात् प्रियतरत्वं च सर्वलोकेषु वै तदा । प्राप्तवानेव राजेन्द्र सुवर्णक्षान्महेश्वरात्
arthāt priyataratvaṃ ca sarvalokeṣu vai tadā | prāptavāneva rājendra suvarṇakṣān maheśvarāt, bharatanandana |
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—ഹേ രാജേന്ദ്രാ! ഇങ്ങനെ അദ്ദേഹം അന്നേ സമയം സർവ്വലോകങ്ങളിലും ഏറ്റവും പ്രിയനായിത്തീർന്നു—അത് മഹേശ്വരനിൽ നിന്നുതന്നെ ലഭിച്ചതുപോലെ. ഹേ ഭരതനന്ദനാ! പൂർവകാലത്ത് ബദരികാശ്രമത്തിൽ മഹാദേവനെ പ്രസാദിപ്പിച്ച്, ദിവ്യദൃഷ്ടിയുള്ള മഹേശ്വരനിൽ നിന്ന് എല്ലാ സിദ്ധികളെയും അതിക്രമിക്കുന്ന പ്രിയത്വം ശ്രീകൃഷ്ണൻ നേടി; അതിനാൽ അദ്ദേഹം എല്ലായിടത്തും എല്ലാ ജീവികൾക്കും പ്രിയതമനായി.
