2 अं ड-ऑ का त्रिशर्दाधिकशततमो<्ध्याय: अरुन्धती
bhīṣma uvāca | tatastvṛṣigaṇāḥ sarve pitaraś ca sadevatāḥ | arundhatīṃ tapovṛddhām apṛcchanta samāhitāḥ ||
ഭീഷ്മൻ പറഞ്ഞു—അതിനുശേഷം എല്ലാ ഋഷിഗണങ്ങളും, പിതൃഗണങ്ങളും ദേവന്മാരും കൂടി, തപസ്സാൽ മഹത്തായ അരുന്ധതിയെ സമീപിച്ച്, മനസ്സു ഏകാഗ്രമാക്കി അവളോടു ചോദിച്ചു; അവളുടെ മുഖത്തിൽ നിന്നു ധർമ്മത്തിന്റെ പരമരഹസ്യം കേൾക്കുവാൻ അവർ ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു.
